Lovecraft Horrors: FLYING POLYP

“…the basis of the fear was a horrible elder race of half-polypous, utterly alien entities which had come through space from immeasurably distant universes and had dominated the earth and three other solar planets about 600 million years ago.”

Aight, it’s 4 a.m., my eyes hurt, my fingers are burned, cut, sore, my back is an extended encyclopedia of pain, but it’s finally done! There are still some parts where I’m not 100% certain if I’ll add some more detail or not, but overall this is more or less finished. About 8 inch tall and covered with complete texture madness. I usually tend to either dislike or hate my work, but this is actually quite lovely! Unfortunately the photos don’t really show all of the detail that went into it, especially the fine detail on the teeth and the skin.

The design is loosely based on a drawing by Michael Bukowski. I’ll probably sculpt a whole lot of monsters from the Lovecraft universe so my little polyp doesn’t get too lonely; already got some wicked plans for Tsathoggua…
